ZKG-100 Dry granulator is recently developed pharmaceutical equipment. With its wide application, it's favored by many fields of pharmaceutical industry, chemical industry and food industry. The machine makes use of crystal water of the material and squeeze it to granules so that the technique is simplified and product quality upgraded. Currently, dry granulating machines can be mainly classified into highly pre-pressing type and lowly pre-pressing type. And classified according to the appearance, they include closed type and open type. Normally, its output ranges from 5kg per hour to 100kg per hour. And this ZKG-100 is our third-generation machine. It's a highly pre-pressing and closed machine for pharmaceutical, chemical and food production.
Features
1) ZKG-100 is newly innovated. It makes use of crystal water in raw material and granulate the material directly;
2) Wetting agents, such as water and ethanol, are not needed, which can help avoid unstable granules;
3) This machine don't need to wet, mix and dry material so that its production speed is pretty high;
4) Pre-pressing material can make produced tablets have high density, uniform weight and no break;
5) The machine features small size and easy cleaning, which meets GMP requirements;
6) This machine produces no drainage or air pollution. It besides features easy cleaning, small size, high efficiency and
high rotating speed and its produced granules are of uniform size.
7) The machine speed is controllable within a wide range. The machine can process viscous, heat-sensitive, poorly fluid,
highly wet, gummy or oily material. The mesh of end product is also controlled within a wide range.
8) Inbuilt water chilling system of the pressing roller is used to stabilize material temperature.
9) This machine adopts double-screw horizontal feeding and servo drive system for easy control, stable and
accurate feeding, which solves the problem of poor fluidity of material.(Key point)

avoidance from oil leakage and contamination of oil pressure system.(Key point)
Mechanical performance
1) Output: Nominal output is defined as the output per hour of the machine. Some material's hourly production is larger
than nominal output while others' lower. Material properties determine practical output.
2) Squeezing heat: The machine generates Squeezing heat while it is squeezing material fiercely. The heat is transmitted
to squeezing roller and hopper and lead to increasing temperature of machine during operation until the heat dissipated
by the machine balances with heat in surrounding environment. However, out ZKG-100 adopts a water cooling system
to control machine temperature under 45°C. As a result, this machine can work continuously. Besides, some auxiliary
equipment are optional to connect dry granulator with tablet press or hard capsule filling machine for improvement of
both output and quality.
Working principle
Material is compressed to granules under high pressure. At first, material powder in hopper is conveyed and compressed
by biconical auger whose pitches are not equal. Therefore, powder density multiplies and powder is squeezed to the top
of two rollers where powder undertakes pressure from five directions. Rotation of squeezing rollers then pushes powder
to the gap between rollers where powder is squeezed to slice. At last, slice can be ground, screened and sorted.
Working process
At first, operators prepare and mix powdery material and feed it to the hopper. Pre-pressing auger can pre-press material
and convey it to compression rollers. After compression at rollers, produced slices will drop into grinding machine
where slices are ground to small granules. Granules are then sieved by a screen. Granules whose size is smaller than the
diameter of screen mesh will drop into a container. This whole process is automatic. A sampling port is set at the top of
grinding machine, through which operators can sample material, check it and make an adjustment to machine timely to
ensure product quality.
